Mark and I spent this weekend painting 3 of our kit boxes (which also double as simple benches) sea blue.  We will be adding crimson stripes next weekend.  We will also have a blackboard with the same blue border.

Tent poles, rope etc. are on order and we should be receiving them some time this week.  We are going to try bringing all 4 to the first event, and possibly offer their use to other groups for meeting space etc.  We have the geodesic dome we could potentially use as a central plazza around which the tents can be pitched, but not sure (a) if we have the manpower to get it up (it requires about 6 people to assemble) and (b) if PD are willing to let us take up that much space.  Thoughts on that front welcome.

Badges have arrived.  I will post photos when I have taken some.

All is progressing well.  It would be nice if we had some sort of banners though.

I'm intending to run up some banners in the next week or so. Paint in fabric, nothing fancy this time around. I'll send them to the event via Tom and Esther.

Cool. Just something we can use to make sure the camp says Carta Bellamarina is great.

Leave the dome at home. I think the time and effort it requires to errect isn't yet worth the investment an somehow it doesn't seem very League at the moment. Now if there was a was a way of errecting it on pillars and raise it off the floor as a cupola, though, it would be an awesome feature in the camp. But that's maybe an idea to visit in a year or two.

What I like about it League wise is that it's big, unique, striking and flashy, and I think using it as a central plaza strikes me as quite a leaguey idea. It definitely falls on the coolthentic side of the equation though.

I think that pillars would not be stable, and also we'd need to buy pillars. Maybe Mark has some thoughts on that though.

Thanks to work over the weekend and evenings this week, Mark and I have three kit boxes/benches painted in guild colours, most of a blackboard, and all of the tent poles treated against rot. We'll be trying to put up a tent this weekend to make sure it works, and so we can prep the guy ropes.
